CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is launching a food drive to help TSA and FAA employees during the government shutdown.
The airport is asking the community for donations to support federal workers affected by the shutdown and SNAP benefit uncertainty.
Needed items include:
- Non-perishable foods and paper goods:
- Canned vegetables
- Soups
- Pasta
- Rice
- Peanut butter
- Shelf-stable milk
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Gift cards from grocery stores or gas stations:
- Kwik Star
- Casey’s
- Kum & Go
