Malloy Electric breaks ground on new 200,000-square-foot motor facility in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Malloy Electric has broken ground on a new 200,000-square-foot motor facility in Cedar Rapids, a project the company says will expand its service capacity for industrial customers throughout the region.

The facility is expected to open in mid-2026 and will include a 60-ton crane system and equipment to support motor services up to 20,000 horsepower, according to the company.
