Two people die from apparent drug overdoses in SW Cedar Rapids, police say

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police are investigating the apparent overdose deaths of two people found in a southwest Cedar Rapids hotel Monday morning.

CRPD says first responders located multiple people suffered “drug-related health issues” at a hotel in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Southwest. A press release says first responders performed CPR on three people and took them all to the hospital. Two of them died.

The names of the people who died are not being released but police say there’s an investigation into the deaths…
