Local grocery store owner’s century-old legacy continues supporting community nonprofits

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Linn County Board awarded $80,000 to HACAP this month to help fund food pantries throughout the area, money provided by the Weaver Witwer Trust.

The trust stems from a Cedar Rapids grocery store owner who built a business empire a century ago and left behind a legacy of community giving that continues today.
