Wide receiver Xavier Stinson is headed to Iowa. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Florida native announced his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes today after making an official visit to Iowa City last month.
“It feels like it’s a place anybody can call home from any background,” Stinson told HawkeyeReport.com after the visit.
A former UCLA commit, Stinson reopened his recruiting after the Bruins fired head coach DeShaun Foster in September. Since then, the three-star prospect earned new scholarship offers from Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Purdue, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, and Tulane to go along with previous ones from NC State, Indiana, Syracuse, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh, Duke, Virginia, UCF, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and Arkansas, among others…
