CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – After yesterday’s winter storm moved through, winds picked up behind the system.

Winds will remain gusty through the early afternoon, with speeds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. This will cause blowing snow and snow drifts.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for areas along and north of I-80 until noon today.

Winds will calm this afternoon and stay calm throughout the week.

If possible, avoid traveling this morning as DOT crews continue clearing snow from the roads…
