Linn County, Iowa — Two people were transported to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash Monday evening on W Mount Vernon Road near O’Connor Road, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. The collision occurred around 6:07 p.m. on December 1, 2025.
Deputies, Mount Vernon–Lisbon Police, Mount Vernon Fire, and Lisbon–Mount Vernon Ambulance responded to the scene.

Officials say Braydon Osborn, 20, of Central City, was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Eric Barker, 44, of Cedar Rapids. A third driver, Kortney Newhouse, 25, of Marion, also traveling westbound, was unable to stop in time and struck Osborn’s vehicle.
Newhouse was uninjured. Osborn and Barker were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
