Cedar Rapids Planning Commission rejects McDonald’s proposal for Mount Vernon Road

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids Planning Commission voted against recommending a zoning change that would allow a McDonald’s restaurant on Mount Vernon Road Southeast.

The proposed project would be constructed at the current Community Savings Bank property, located along Mount Vernon Road. The plan also included two affordable housing options and a vacant piece of land to the west, designated as the entrance.
