IOWA CITY, Iowa — Ali Younes, a former University of Iowa student, accused of attempted murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree theft, will soon learn his fate.
Prosecutors say Younes strangled a woman until she was unconscious near the Art Building West, on the University of Iowa campus, then stole her earring worth $20,000, in April 2022.
