EASTERN IOWA — Winter has not relinquished its grip on eastern Iowa as another round of snow is on the way for this weekend.
A clipper system will begin to move in around 5 p.m. Saturday from northwest to southeast and will become more widespread through the night.
Snow will be persistent until early Sunday morning, with some areas seeing upwards of 6″ of fresh powder. The zone of heavier snow, 3-6″ could still shift a bit, but looks mostly likely near and north of I-80. There could be pockets of heavier snow, resulting in isolated amounts of 7-8″.
