CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids father says he’s proud of his son Jacob Coyle, an Air Force veteran who served as a firefighter for four years and now works as a contract firefighter.
Jacob is among many veterans and active-duty military members who had banners displayed in downtown Cedar Rapids as part of the Freedom Festival’s military banner program.
“I remember seeing it hung for the first time… just brought tears to our eyes. My wife and I just sat there. And, in fact, I drive by the same corner, even though it’s not up. I look up at the pole and go, that was my boy,” Jim Coyle said…
