CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — Another Saturday, another round of snow moving through eastern Iowa. Snow has been persistent, especially near and south of Highway 30.
9:40 a.m. UPDATE: A tow ban is in place for Linn, Johnson, Iowa, and Cedar counties. Crashes are blocking portions of I-80 and travel is not advised through Tama and Iowa counties.
Snow is leading to low visibility at times, especially near and south of I-80. There’s already been 1-2″ of accumulation in that area where heavier bands of snow have moved through.
Snow will wind down around 1-2 p.m. Make sure you drive slow while snow is falling and create plenty of space between you and the car in front of you…
