CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left one adult male injured following a confrontation between two groups. Officers were dispatched just before 10:00 p.m. to the 800 block of 6th Street SW after reports of shots fired.
According to police, responding officers located evidence of gunfire at the scene, including a bullet hole in the front door of a nearby business. Investigators say the incident began as a verbal altercation between two groups of individuals before escalating.
