The Johnson County Board of Supervisors declined to adopt a resolution affirming residents’ “due process” rights over concerns that it may provide a false sense of security, place a spotlight on the county and its residents and create broader legal headaches.
The vote was 3-2 against the resolution, with Johnson County Supervisors Rod Sullivan, Lisa Green-Douglass and Chair Jon Green voting “no.”
