Popeyes franchise workers report ongoing payment issues

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – More employees at Popeyes franchises owned by Jam Equities are reporting payment problems, including bounced checks and missing wages.

Over two months, TV9 spoke with workers at three Iowa locations who said they have been underpaid. The complaints come as the franchise owner faces a June 2026 deadline to sell the restaurants following a legal settlement with Popeyes.
