CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Plans have changed for the Bread and Buttered Bakery in NewBo City Market; instead of being open for the busy pre-Christmas shopping spree, the shop is now closed as the owners recover from a house fire.
“All we have is really our animals, our kids and our cars and the bakery,” Nikki Lynn, who runs the business with her wife, Amber.
Saturday afternoon, the pair had to rush home when their daughter found the house on fire. Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the family’s animals also made it out…
