CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A sentencing date has been set for Dante Irvin, who pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 2023 shooting death of 16-year-old Michael McCune at the Tan Tara Apartments in Cedar Rapids.
Irvin is scheduled to receive a life sentence on Jan. 28. He will be eligible for parole because he was a minor at the time of the shooting.
