MARION, Iowa — Renovation work at Marion City Hall will begin in January, prompting the temporary relocation of several public meetings, city officials announced.
Garling Construction Inc. will lead the renovation at City Hall, 1225 Sixth Ave., a project city officials say is aimed at reorganizing departmental space to improve public access and employee safety.
During the initial phase of construction, all city departments will be located on the second floor of City Hall. Once renovations are complete, the Community Development Department, including planning and building divisions, along with the city’s IT department, will move to the first floor.
