IOWA CITY, Iowa — The City of Iowa City is accepting applications for police officers, with starting salaries ranging from about $66,000 to nearly $98,000 a year, depending on experience and certification.
Entry-level officers will start at $65,991 annually, while certified officers may earn up to $98,087, city officials said Friday. Officers who are certified through the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy are also eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus.
