Cedar Rapids offers larger trash cans to residents

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The city of Cedar Rapids is offering residents larger trash cans after a decade of complaints that the standard 35-gallon containers are insufficient for holding garbage.

The new program that started on Wednesday allows people to choose between three different cans: the standard 35-gallon, a 65-gallon, and a 95-gallon option.
