This week my question is;
How do you respond to criticisms?
The normal reaction to criticism is often resentment. That is how I used to react mostly when younger.
As they say- with age comes wisdom- so I realized that one can tolerate criticism if it is said in a non- confrontational manner. Parents often point out the flaws in our behavior, and if done tactfully, it leads to better results. Similarly, our teachers point out the faults in their students and most students respond positively if done with tact.
As adults, we become averse to criticism because- (mostly wrongly) we start thinking that we don’t need to improve. But we all can improve, and if our faults are pointed out with kindness, we are more prone to listening and even implementing that advice.…
