Cyclist defying traffic stops arrested after police chase in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A 26-year-old man lead Cedar Rapids police on a chase after police say he wouldn’t stop for officers after committing several bicycle traffic violations.

An officer attempted with lights and sirens to stop Felix Garcia just after 10 p.m. Monday night in the area of 6th Street SW and 1st Avenue West.

Garcia fled cutting through yards, streets and across sidewalks. According to the criminal complaint a number of squad cars all had their lights and sirens on during the chase…
