IOWA CITY, Iowa — Legal proceedings continue against three people charged in connection with a human trafficking case involving two massage parlors in Iowa City.
Court documents show the state of Iowa wants to seize two homes owned by Zhenshi Liu, 60, and Junping Ren, 56. One of the homes, located in the 4800 block of Preston Lane in Iowa City, was purchased for more than $349,000 in cash. A second home in Alabama was also bought with cash for about $600,000.
