Coralville woman accused of trying to light occupied bed on fire

CORALVILLE, Iowa — A Coralville woman is accused of trying to light a bed on fire with her partner occupying it.

Debra Johnson, 43, is charged with reckless use of fire, explosives or destructive devices and interference with official acts. Online court documents say she used a lighter to try and set the bed her partner was using on fire while she told that person she intended to set the bedding on fire.

She did cause visible burn holes in the bedding, according to a criminal complaint…
