CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A cold front brings little in the way of precipitation, but the windiest day of the week so far.

Skies will generally be partly to mostly cloudy tonight, with the cloudiest conditions happening the farther northeast you go. This is where the chance for some light wintry mix, either in the form of some flurries or freezing drizzle, will be possible. While overall amounts are expected to be quite light, we know that it doesn’t take much freezing drizzle to cause trouble.

The timing on this is between just around midnight and about 6:00 a.m. on Friday. It mainly includes from around Allamakee County down through Dubuque County, along with our southwestern Wisconsin counties. If you live in those areas, it might not be a bad idea to check the road conditions before you head out to work and school.
