IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department plans to begin controlled prairie burns at select city parks starting Tuesday.
Parks scheduled for controlled burns include:
- Willow Creek Park
- Terry Trueblood Recreation Area, Scott Park
- City Park
- Hunters Run
- Kickers Soccer Park.
Additional burns may take place at Hickory Hill Park and at the city’s water treatment and wastewater facilities.
