Nearly 100 Iowa schools report high illness rates as respiratory viruses surge

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) rates jumped from moderate to high in Iowa last week, according to the latest Respiratory Virus Report.

Nineteen Iowans died from respiratory illnesses during the week of February 1 to February 7, including eight from COVID-19 and 11 from influenza.
