Nebraska basketball’s 57-52 loss to Iowa was a bad one. It was, in fact, the worst loss of the season. What happened after the game was more ugly than bad, but it wasn’t a good look for a coach who was clearly frustrated by the Hawkeyes fans storming the court and getting in Fred Hoiberg’s face.
As Rienk Mast said after the game, it says something about where the Huskers are at this season that Iowa fans rushed the court after the win. It also says something about Hawkeyes fans that one of them decided it was perfectly acceptable to get into Hoiberg’s face while recording him as he walked off the court.
The Nebraska head coach was clearly unhappy that the fan was in his face and, in a second of anger, smacked the camera down. It’s one of those things that Hoiberg was justified in doing; Iowa shouldn’t have allowed anyone to get that close to him…
