CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Witness testimony continued Monday with the prosecution calling witnesses in rebuttal during the first-degree murder trial for a Marion father who killed his son.
Matthew Schleier’s lawyer is using an insanity defense in the trial for strangling his five-year-old son, Jack. He killed his son at their home on the morning of Oct. 29, 2024.
There is no jury, as it is a bench trial. The judge is not expected to provide a verdict immediately…
