PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico (KCRG) – Iowans staying in the Puerto Vallarta area say life is starting to return to normal after violence over the weekend, but one couple said the events may change their plans for future trips.
Patty and Robert Russo live and work near Dubuque and typically spend February and March in Mexico. On Sunday, they said they were told to stay indoors.
“Stay in until the area is secured by military and don’t let people see you,” the Russos said.
