CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Tonight, we will see mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low to mid 20s.
We will get a brief break from the clouds tomorrow morning before they roll back in again in the afternoon. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Late on Wednesday, there is a chance for some light snow showers to move across the southwestern part of the viewing area.
Snowfall totals will be less than an inch. Due to the reduced impacts of the storm, the First Alert Storm Team has cancelled the First Alert Days that were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Slick spots may still develop overnight Wednesday and into the morning commute on Thursday, especially where snow falls, so you should exercise extra caution on the roads.
After the system moves out, the clouds will clear, leading to mostly sunny skies. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 40s. Friday will also bring plenty of sunshine as temperatures rise into the low to mid 60s.
Temperatures will drop significantly over the weekend, with highs on Saturday in the low to mid 40s and lows in the low to mid 30s expected for Sunday…
