MARION, Iowa — The City of Marion is accepting applications for its Military Tribute Banner Program, which honors current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces with personalized streetlight banners displayed in the community.
Now in its ninth year, the program is a partnership between the city, the Marion Chamber of Commerce and the Uptown Marion Main Street District. Organizers say the initiative recognizes and shows appreciation for veterans, active-duty service members and their families with ties to Marion.
