MARION, Iowa (KCRG) – The Linn-Mar Community School District has named its next superintendent Tuesday to replace Amy Kortemeyer, who announced in December 2025 that she plans to retire in June.
Dr. Nathan Wear has been selected as the district’s next superintendent, pending formal approval at its next meeting. He was the only internal candidate among the three finalists considered for the position.
“The last eight years I’ve spent with the Linn-Mar community have been immensely fulfilling. It’s been my greatest pleasure to support the students and staff in this district so that each one of them can thrive now and in the future,” Dr. Wear said. “I am honored to step into the role of superintendent with this community and continue helping us strive toward a legacy of excellence and opportunities for all.”…
