CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) – Patients of a Coralville dentist say he scared and pressured them into costly treatments they did not need, and an i9 Investigation is questioning the disciplinary action the Iowa Dental Board took in response.
Dr. Jeff Rubel operates Coral West Dental in Coralville. TV9 reported last month that the Iowa Dental Board accused Rubel of telling healthy patients they had periodontal disease, a gum disease that can cause bleeding and tooth loss. After that story aired, former patients and staff contacted TV9 saying Rubel had been doing that for years.
