Authorities in Iowa City, Iowa, are investigating after an inmate was found unresponsive inside the Johnson County Jail early Wednesday morning.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, jail staff discovered the inmate unresponsive during a routine head count at approximately 4:05 a.m. on March 11, 2026.
