CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The City of Cedar Rapids has proclaimed March 19 as “Buy 319 Local Day,” recognizing the role local businesses play in the city’s economy and neighborhoods.
The proclamation highlights the impact of shopping locally and promotes Buy 319, an initiative aimed at encouraging residents and businesses to invest in the local economy. Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell and city officials issued the proclamation in support of the effort.
To mark the occasion, organizers are launching a buy-one, get-one promotion on Buy 319 gift cards. From March 17 through March 19, customers who purchase a gift card will receive a bonus gift card. The cards can be used for shopping, dining or services at participating businesses…
