CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids officials have declared a snow emergency beginning Sunday afternoon as crews prepare for a winter storm expected to bring heavy snow and strong winds.
The snow emergency will be in effect from 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, through 3 p.m. Monday, March 16, according to the city.
Residents are asked to remove parked vehicles from designated emergency snow routes during that time so city crews can clear roads and maintain access for emergency vehicles…
