Samsung Electronics will relocate within Cedar Rapids enhancing its presence along with its research and development operations. Under their current location off Collins Road, Samsung, has conducted ongoing testing on GPS location software.
The company joins a growing list of businesses and developments choosing to invest in downtown Cedar Rapids and the emerging Kingston Yard district. Notable recent additions include Big Grove Brewery & Taproom, which has become a major destination for dining and community gathering, as well as new entertainment and hospitality concepts like Pickle Palace and the future opening of AC Hotel by Marriott, which will expand lodging and conference capacity downtown.
