Alliant Energy proposed a plan to build a power plant which would be located right off Highway 30 and Linn Benton Rd.
The location is near Atkins in Benton County and near some who say they have a lot of questions and little answers.
“I found out from my neighbor. My neighbor came and stopped and said, hey, you know about this meeting on Monday, the 23rd, in the evening. They proposed a power plant, and I think that it’s gonna be in your backyard,” said Jon Lee who lives right down the road from the site. He could look right over his shoulder from his yard and see where it would be. He says it’s a major change from his current views. But his concerns aren’t just about him and his family…
