Cedar Rapids woman sentenced to 12 years for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids woman was sentenced Monday to more than a decade in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.

44-year-old Rose Beranek pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine last September.

In February 2024, police said Beranek acquired nearly two pounds of methamphetamine in Arizona. Police said Beranek admitted to driving to Cedar Rapids for the purpose of distributing the methamphetamine…
