Southeast Iowa saw another round of severe weather Wednesday evening, prompting severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings for locations within the KCII listening area.
The KCII Severe Weather Action Team first took action at 7:09 p.m. when the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of Washington, Keokuk, Iowa, Johnson and Louisa counties until 8:15 p.m.
At 8:02 p.m., a tornado warning was issued for Louisa County until 8:30 p.m. for a tornado on the ground near Letts reported by the Louisa County Fairgrounds. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office reported County Road G40 was blocked by a downed power pole and power line as a result of this storm.
