CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) – A bill awaiting the governor’s signature would give the University of Northern Iowa the power to approve charter schools and expand funding for those schools.
Public charter schools charge no tuition and operate outside of an elected school board, like the middle school Cedar Rapids Prep.
