IOWA CITY—A 22-year-old Sutherland man found guilty of strangling and robbing a woman in Iowa City in April 2022 has been sentenced to up to 50 years in prison.
Ali Younes was sentenced April 27 after his initial sentencing date, Feb. 27, was postponed due to a scheduling conflict with another trial in Johnson County District Court in Iowa City.
