North Liberty debuts interactive “Los Trompos” spinning-top art at Centennial Park

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa — North Liberty unveiled “Los Trompos,” an interactive art installation featuring eight oversized spinning tops, at Centennial Park on Friday. The colorful exhibit will remain on display through July 12 at the park, 1565 St. Andrews Drive.

The installation is free and open to the public daily. City officials said visitors can explore the exhibit while attending events at the new Hy-Vee Amphitheater or visiting the park’s playgrounds and gathering spaces.

“It’s going to be a vibrant summer in North Liberty,” Assistant Community Relations Director Jillian Miller said in a statement. “The temporary addition of Los Trompos will add to families’ experience visiting the park’s existing playgrounds and be another attraction for attendees of our amphitheater events and Blues & BBQ festival.”…
