Mount Vernon’s Evelyn Moeller broke the Class 3A state meet record in the girls 3000 meter Thursday at the Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships.
Moeller, a junior and Drake Relays runner-up, finished first with a time of 9:27. The time moved her to number four on the Iowa all-time list.
