APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (AZFamily) — A large fire engulfed a mobile home and left one pet dead in Apache Junction early Wednesday morning.
Around 2:40 a.m., Superstition Fire and Medical crews were called to the fire at a mobile home near Roosevelt Street and Tomahawk Road. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames pouring from the side of the house.
Crews aggressively attacked the flames and began to search inside the home. Firefighters rescued multiple pets, including a turtle. Sadly, one dog was found dead.
