PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A hiker was rescued in Phoenix on Saturday on a South Mountain trail after becoming overheated, according to officials with the Phoenix Fire Department.
First responders were called to the Bursera Trailhead at South Mountain at about 4 p.m. for reports that a man was having a heat-related emergency.
The hiker was found, given hydration and was able to cool off a bit before going down the mountain with the assistance of rescue crews, officials said. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition…
