Bumpy ride continues for Gilbert apartment developer

It’s been a bumpy road so far for a developer trying to win approval from Gilbert for a proposed 121-unit apartment that’s got Chandler residents decrying that it would negatively affect their neighborhood.

The developer’s attorney last week was granted a continuance until Sept. 15 for Town Council to take action on Residences at the Reserve proposed southeast of the intersection of Gilbert and Germann roads.

He asked to delay action due to the fact that two of the seven council members were absent from the Sept. 1 meeting and the project needed four affirmative votes for approval…
