Layoffs Continue to Surge in Arizona

Another business has added to the layoffs impacting Arizona.
Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, employers with more than 100 full-time workers must provide 60 days’ notice before laying off 50 or more employees at a single site. As disclosed in a WARN notice filed with the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Newrez is laying off 78 staff members in Tempe.
This WARN notice e is the latest in a series of layoffs that have affected Arizona in recent weeks and adds to the growing list of job cuts in the state.
