Phoenix Invests $1.5M in Neighborhood Park Improvements

PHOENIX – The City of Phoenix has announced the launch of the Neighborhood Parks Enhancement Program, a $1.5 million initiative funded by the recently approved General Obligation (GO) Bond Program.

This program will support minor capital improvement projects aimed at enhancing local parks across all council districts, providing a direct benefit to neighborhoods throughout the city, according to Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.

“The Neighborhood Parks Enhancement Program is about more than just funding—it’s about fostering localized community engagement to match the most appropriate park improvements to the needs of individual communities and neighborhoods throughout the city,” said Gallego.

“This investment is a powerful step toward revitalizing our neighborhoods and increasing access to wonderful parks for all Phoenix residents to enjoy.”

The program allows eligible neighborhood organizations to submit project proposals from September 27 to November 8, 2024. Submit application here.

To qualify, projects must be located at a City of Phoenix Park, and applicants must be a registered neighborhood organization with the Neighborhood Services Department
